Eight new CRCs in Energy in Norway
The objective of the scheme for Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME) is to establish research centres which conduct concentrated, focused and long-term research of high international calibre in order to solve specific challenges in the field.

The centres will receive an annual public funding of 1.0-2.5 mill Euro for maximum eight years.

 

The eight Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research are:

·         Centre – International Carbon Capture Systems Research Centre (BIGCCS)

·         Centre for Environmental Design of Renewable Energy (CEDREN)

·         Bioenergy Innovation Centre (CenBio)

·         Norwegian Centre for Offshore Wind Energy (NORCOWE)

·         Norwegian Research Centre for Offshore Wind Technology (NOWITECH)

·         The Norwegian Research Centre for Solar Cell Technology

·         SUbsurface CO2 storage – Critical Elements and Superior Strategy (SUCCESS)

·      The Research Centre on Zero Emission Buildings (ZEB)
